Haesung Annie Jung, Ph.D.
Director
Haesung (Annie; used informally) Jung is an assistant professor in the Department of Psychological Sciences at Texas Tech University. Before joining Texas Tech, she was a research associate at the Annenberg Public Policy Center at the University of Pennsylvania.
She received her PhD in social psychology from the University of Texas at Austin, and her BA and MA in psychology from Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea.

Nadyezhda (Nadinka) Taylor, B.S.
Graduate student
Nadinka Taylor is a first-year doctoral student at Texas Tech. She's from Reston, VA in the DC area. She graduated from Virginia Tech in 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, minors in Adaptive Brain and Behavior, and Integrative Health and Wellness.
At Virginia Tech, she was involved in research projects on gratitude expressions, diffusion of responsibility, and prosocial outcomes. She also worked as a lab manager for Computational Organizational Research Lab (PI Dr. Ivan Hernandez) and as a RA for the Center for Applied Behavior Systems. Her research interests include prosocial behavior and how social-environmental factors affect people's opinions and actions.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends, playing video games, and photography!

Micha Wolverton, B.A.
Graduate student
Micha Wolverton is a first-year doctoral student at Texas Tech. Her hometown is Arlington, TX, and she graduated with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Sociology from Texas State University.
At Texas State, she was involved in research examining college students' anxiety during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her research interests include prosocial behavior, social influence, social cognition, and interpersonal relationships.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, hiking, and listening to music.

Christy Crawford, B.A.
Affiliated Graduate student
Christy is a first-year master's student at Texas Tech University earning her MEd in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, LPC. She is from a small town in East Texas called Hallsville and moved to Lubbock shortly after graduating from The University of Texas at Austin in May 2023.
Before attending Texas Tech, Christy volunteered on Moody College’s Communication Council where she organized student mental health seminars for her college at UT Austin. For the past year, Christy has been working as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) where she facilitates behavior therapy with children and adolescents on the spectrum. After completing her Master’s, she hopes to earn her PhD in Clinical Psychology.
In her free time, you can find her reading a spooky book, watching bad reality TV, or taking her puppy Ruby to the park.

Ojal Maddipati
Undergraduate research assistant
Ojal Maddipati is a second-year undergraduate student at Texas Tech. She is originally from Houston, TX, and working on a B.S degree in Psychology with a minor in Chemistry. As an aspiring healthcare worker, her research interests include social psychology, health psychology, group dynamics, and prosocial behavior. She hopes to make an impact through her research experiences by better understanding group dynamics and the social influences affecting people's behavior in medical settings.
In her free time, she enjoys dancing, reading science fiction, watching foreign films, crocheting, karaoke, and baking.

Ruth Lee
Undergraduate research assistant
Ruth Lee is a fourth-year undergraduate student at Texas Tech. Her hometown is Flower Mound, TX and she is going to be graduating with a B.S. in microbiology and a pre-dental concentration. She is also minoring in Studio Art: Drawing. She is interested in researching endodontics, social science, periodontics, immunology, oral cancer, and organic chemistry. As a research assistant, she hopes to widen her knowledge in fields that could benefit her both as a continual student but also as a future healthcare provider.
Some things she enjoys in her free time include drawing, playing the violin, dancing, listening to music, going to the gym, thrifting, and crocheting.

Dakota Shelton
Undergraduate research assistant
Dakota Shelton is a first-year undergraduate student at Texas Tech. She was born and raised in Hereford, TX, and is earning a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in English. Her research interests include social dynamics, influences on child development, and behavioral science. She hopes to familiarize herself with lab settings and obtain real-world research experience in her field.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, listening to music, embroidery, and archery.
